François-Xavier Delacoste

François-Xavier Delacoste was born in Monthey in Wallis (Switzerland). Following his studies at the conservatories of Lausanne and Geneva he specialised in orchestration, conducting and composing. He is a lecturer at the ‘Conservatoire supérieur de Musique de Genève’ where he has taught harmony, counterpoint and analysis since 1975. He has been the director of Neuchatel Conservatory Since 1989. He has also won several awards including the French Ministry of Culture Prize.
